Women In Touch

Women in Touch a 501(c) organization was founded in 2001, guiding principles are respect, integrity and excellence. Our mission statement is to help bring wholiness and soundness to hurting women and children, while developing character and building healthy relationships.

Women in touch founder Cindy Moore found this organization because of the struggles she faced in her personal life, with low self-esteem which led to poor choices, and toxic relationship, with the help of friends and family and the word of God she began to turn her life around. It was during this time she found that many other women were challenge with low self-esteem. In February of 2001, Ms. Moore began to have meeting and workshops, her focus was on women of domestic violence and substance abuse. With the help of her daughters she began to implement the structure for Women In Touch. In 2005, Mrs. Kisha Emanuel-Durrell joined Women in Touch; together they began to hold life-skill workshops in Metro Detroit area schools shaping the minds of youth in grades K-12. In 2006, Mrs. Venetia Lyons joined women in Touch helping to put in place the program, Developing the Champion. Under this title there are numerous programs; that help to develop self-esteem and develop character in women and youth.

Women In Touch has been working closely with adult women, and school age girls since 2001. The purpose of Women In Touch is to address the emotional, social, vocational, educational, health-related, and developmental needs, to increase self-esteem, and increase the ability to make informed decisions and solve problems.
